We set up the tent 3 days ago because you were pushing so hard for it and to try to sleep the night outside. That night, I heard some strange sounds and I think it freaked you out. There was a sound like rain but it wasn’t raining. My desert experience thought it sounded like dust in fine particles tic tic ticking the roof of the tent. Either way, you didn’t want to sleep out there. I almost fell asleep while you made up a game of slap the glowstick that’s hanging from the ceiling.

The Next Day, you mother and I made up a rule that if we’re camping, there is no bedtime. Alas, it’s been four nights of chilly rain and me working and I’ve yet to test the policy.
